Max Solano is a respected mixologist, whisky educator, and industry consultant with over two decades of experience in the beverage world. He currently serves as Competition Director for the International Whisky Competition, helping guide the event’s standards and structure since 2023.

Previously, Max was the lead mixologist and Head of Whisky Education for Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits of Nevada, and is widely recognized for his deep knowledge of global whisky styles, laws, and brands. Now working independently, he consults across several U.S. states, advising on bar programs, spirits portfolios, and education.

A multi-award-winning bartender—including being named Bartender of the Year by multiple outlets—Max has judged at top-tier competitions such as the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and the New York World Wine & Spirits Competition. Based in Las Vegas, he remains a leading voice in cocktail culture and whisky appreciation.
